As a surface designer, I create original patterns and artwork for fabric/textiles, home décor, wallpaper, paper goods & stationery, and lifestyle products.
My work combines analog techniques (such as printmaking, collage, and drawing) with digital design tools. I enjoy translating tactile, handmade artwork into refined, production-ready designs while maintaining the character and spontaneity of the original marks.
With a B.A. in Digital Media and Fine Art, and 14+ years experience in graphic design, I bring a strong understanding of color, composition, and design principles to a variety of products and visual communications. My experience also includes starting my own product-based business, admin & operations, and teaching; which have given me a practical understanding of how to clarify complex concepts, and how ideas move from brainstorming through production.
I am drawn to the contrast of organic vs. geometric forms, nature vs. man-made, and historical ornament vs contemporary abstract expressionism. I’m particularly interested in the tension between structure and spontaneity, and in creating designs that feel layered, tactile, and thoughtfully composed.
At the heart of my practice is a love of color, shape, and line. I aim to create work that feels warm, uplifting, and showcasing a curiosity about the world we live in.
