Hello! I'm Maia Rachel, an artist, educator, and designer based in the SF Bay Area.
I am a mixed-media artist and art educator, specializing in gelatin printmaking, paper collage, and playful process-based art experiences. I design and lead engaging workshops for adults in community, corporate, and educational settings that emphasize experimentation, confidence-building, and joyful self-expression. With a background in graphic & surface design, visual art, and teaching, I bring strong skills in lesson planning, facilitation, and creating inclusive and inspiring environments where students feel supported to explore their own creative voice.
In my art practice, I enjoy combining analog and digital techniques, as well as exploring textures, patterns, and decorative elements. I am passionate about creating artwork that uplifts and inspires others. I especially enjoy abstract geometric and organic shapes and patterns, hand-lettering and typography, bold color palettes, and texture.
